Grrrr.. The Grumpys are back!
Today we woke up at 6:00 AM to head further east. Before we left Kansas, we got to visit Kansas State University, where Natalie, Noah, and Grant did their research on Kansas, Kansas State, and Kansas University.
After packing back up into the vehicles, we ate muffins and apples for breakfast on our way to Wally-World. After that, we drove through Kansas and Missouri and ended up at the Gateway to the West AKA the St. Louis Arch. We began with a group picture and headed inside the museum where we explored the gift shop before starting on our tours.
As we began our ride to the top of the arch, which was SIX HUNDRED and THIRTY FEET in the air btw, our anxiety increased as we increased in height. We pretended we were on top of the world as we looked down into the city of St. Louis and beyond.
After we left the arch, we traded the corn fields of Missouri for…the corn fields in Illinois! So exciting…right? This is where we bedded down at our campsite for the night.
Tonight, the Sneezy’s embraced their inner Hibachi chef as they prepared chicken fried rice, along with delectable cosmic brownies!
We ended the night with one of our last sing-alongs as our trip comes to an end. It's a guarantee that all campers will be dreaming of the Fourth of July and Caleb’s hot-dog apron as we set up our sleeping bags and rest our heads.
